New York Giants: Coach Tom Coughlin is the strong, silent type, which explains why he hasn't taken the initiative to speak to his new team. It was because of that that team leader Michael Strahan initiated a dialogue by calling Coughlin. Strahan called his new coach and said he "had a very nice talk" with him and vehemently denied he was upset that there was no communication prior to the call. "I spoke to the man. It doesn't matter when I spoke to him," Strahan told the New York Daily News. "We had a good conversation. My first impression is very good." Coughlin has yet to have a team meeting and only a few players have had more than an accidental meeting with him. He has had talks with RB Ron Dayne and DT William Joseph.
