Look at the new guy. He's at it again. See him over there, leaning on the boards, jawing at Lindy Ruff? Ruff towers over the stocky little forward, but the Sabres head coach leans on his stick and listens intently. It's been 10 minutes now, and most of the other skaters have left the ice. The Zamboni revs up, and still the powwow continues. They talk about that 4-2 Western road swing, one of the Sabres' best trips in years. They talk about a sloppy 3-1 loss to the Wild on their first night back in Buffalo. Now the new guy warns the coach about getting too complacent at home. Ruff is loving it, and he wants the rest of his team out here listening too, because the new guy knows a thing or two (or 52) about coming out on top.
