Chicago Bears: RB Rabih Abdullah pleaded guilty Tuesday to driving under the influence during an early morning incident last October when he rolled his SUV down an embankment after sideswiping another car and leaving the scene. He was sentenced to a year's probation and ordered him to pay $1,244 in fines and court costs. As part of his plea agreement with prosecutors, Abdullah also must attend an alcohol and substance abuse program and a victim's impact panel. Prosecutors agreed to drop two other charges, leaving the scene of an accident and improper lane usage, if Abdullah pays his fines by April 20 and stays out of trouble while on probation.

Seattle Seahawks: Praise be! QB Jon Kitna was fined $5,000 for wearing unlicensed gear at his news conference after the 49ers game Dec. 14. Kitna wore a read hat that was emblazoned with a cross. But after much soul searching the NFL has rescinded the fine. "It's interesting how the cross of Christ works," Kitna told the Cincinnati Enquirer. He had received about $100 from supporters around the country, and Kitna said he would return the money with letters of thanks.

Miami Dolphins: It wasn't long ago that K Olindo Mare signed a contract that made him the games' highest paid player at his position. And seemingly ever since then the Dolphins have been trying to get him to take a pay cut. The Fins have asked Mare for the second time in six months to restructure his contract, but Mare doesn't seem as willing to do it this time around. "They've told me I have to take a pay cut," Mare told the Palm Beach Post. "I want to stay here, so we're going to try and work it out. I would do it for myself and for the team to an extent. But I'm not going to go crazy doing it. Taking a pay cut and playing for the minimum is a whole different deal."
