With only one day remaining before Signing Day, there should be a major commitment breaking just about every hour.

After a relatively quiet couple of days, things really picked up on Monday. Talented guard Calvin Darity (Lincoln - Tallahassee, Fla.) committed to the Tar Heels of North Carolina. South Carolina also jumped into the action with a huge commitment from OL James Thompson from Sumter, S.C., who picked the Gamecocks over Clemson.

The Gamecocks are also in the final three for a couple of top defenders. Linebacker Robert Ayers (Marlboro Co. - Bennettsville, S.C.) has South Carolina and Tennessee even with Florida running third. He will announce Tuesday at 6 p.m. The third All-American who still has South Carolina at the top of his list is DL Marque Hall (Forest Hills - Marshfield, N.C.), who appears to be down to the Gamecocks and Tar Heels.
