Minnesota Wild: Marian Gaborik might have lost his scoring confidence, but the Wild haven't given up on their franchise player. The Minnesota forward has just 13 points in 33 games since ending his early-season contract dispute and is going through a tough learning process against a league that has gotten to know some of his earlier tricks.

Pittsburgh Penguins: Rico Fata raised the level of expectations by leading the Penguins in goals with 11. Now that he hasn't scored in seven games and has just two in his past 17 games, Fata has joined a growing list of slumping Pittsburgh forwards.

Detroit Red Wings: Chris Chelios turns 42 on Jan. 25, but don't prepare a farewell tour just yet. The Detroit defenseman reiterated that he doesn't want to retire after this season, although the NHL labor war might complicate his plans.
