Big-time recruits ready to visit Michigan

As the countdown to Signing Day heads into the stretch drive, the anxiety level rises for coaches, players and fans. Every visit, phone call or meeting takes on an added importance. From now until February 4, I'll provide a quick daily dose of recruiting info to help you through the stress.

Lots of eyes will be on Ann Arbor this weekend. The Wolverines are bringing in two important recruits for a visit. Offensive lineman Kyle Mitchum from Erie (McDowell), Pa. and defensive end Tim Jamison from Harvey (Thornton), Ill. will visit Michigan this weekend.

Mitchum also has Ohio State and Iowa on his list and might take a visit to West Virginia. Jamison is the fastest rising player in my top 100. It's a rags to riches story. Before this season, Jamison was looking at Indiana and some MAC schools, but now Michigan, Iowa, Michigan State and Purdue are in hot pursuit. His big effort in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl also attracted national attention as Miami and Tennessee are interested.
