For people who don't watch the Indianapolis Colts, WR Brandon Stokley's performance may have been a surprise.
OK, even hardcore fans of the Colts were probably shocked by Stokley's four-catch, 144-yard outing on Sunday, but they weren't surprised that QB Peyton Manning was looking in his direction.
Over the last four games Stokley has established himself as another weapon in the Colts' offensive arsenal. Since Dec. 14 he has 21 catches for 311 yards and five touchdowns, but in the three games prior to Sunday's outburst he was averaging only 9.8 yards a catch. That's because he's mostly been used to pick up short yardage on first down to put the team in advantageous down-and- distance situations.
