Texas Rangers: Still harboring hopes about the Manny Ramirez for Alex Rodriguez trade? Well don't writes T.R. Sullivan in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Now that Brian Jordan is in the fold, it would appear that whatever faint possibility of baseball's most famous non-deal since Ted Williams-for-Joe DiMaggio taking place is done for. "We're really excited about signing Brian," general manager John Hart told Sullivan. "To this point he's had a great career. Watching him to this point, looking at his ability and his makeup, the way he plays the game hard, we think he'll fit in nicely." Jordan is 37 and coming off a season cut in half by knee surgery. Sullivan also reports the Rangers are expected to announce the signing of former Diamondback and Yankee David Dellucci today.

Cleveland Indians: You would think a guy who slugged .453 for the Brewers could have at least matched that playing half his games in Coors Field. Not so for Ron Belliard, the man just signed to be the Indians second baseman in 2004. The prospect of this has Andy Call seriously underwhelmed. "Is that all there is" of the Indians offseason he asks in the Canton Repository.
