Atlanta Thrashers: Dany Heatley takes the next step on his road to recovery Tuesday when he is scheduled to skate lightly after the Thrashers practice. It will be his first time on the ice since he was injured while driving in the car accident that killed teammate Dan Snyder on Sept. 29.

Tampa Bay Lightning: When the Lightning were rolling along at the start of the season, their (then) high-scoring forwards hid any shortcomings by the defense. Now that the offense has dried up, Tampa Bay's defense is under more pressure than ever.

Minnesota Wild: With a 10-month-old baby at home, Andrei Zyuzin doesn't have time to dwell on his statistics. So it was news to him that the Minnesota defenseman had six points and was a plus-8 in nine games this month.
