Detroit Lions: QB Mike McMahon's career in Detroit may be over. In fact, after Sunday's performance in Carolina his NFL career may be in jeopardy. Coach Steve Mariucci went into the game with the idea of getting McMahon more snaps to see what kind of backup he could be and the third-year player responded by completing four of 11 passes for 36 yards and one interception for a passer rating of 8.1. "We're always hoping for more from those guys," Mariucci told the Detroit Free Press, referring to McMahon and starting QB Joey Harrington. "He didn't have a lot of chances. There were three-and-outs too many times when he was in there. We weren't able to keep drives alive for whatever reason, a variety of reasons. I would have liked to see him play more snaps. Even though he went in in the second quarter, we just didn't have a lot of snaps after that." For his career McMahon has completed less than 43 percent of his passes and has a rating of 56.7. Perhaps Sunday showed what many suspected -- that he's not good enough to play in the NFL.

Baltimore Ravens: LB Terrell Suggs is only a part-time player in this, his rookie season, but he's making the most of his opportunities. Suggs notched his 12th sack of the season Sunday, breaking teammate LB Peter Boulware's team record for sacks of 11.5. "That's one milestone, and now I have to climb to the next one," Suggs told the Baltimore Sun. The "next one" is trying to break the overall rookie sack record of 14.5 set by DE Jevon Kearse in 1999. Despite the fact that he needs three sacks to do it, his chances aren't as bad as they may seem. With his two sacks against the Browns, he's now had multi-sack games in three times in the past five weeks.
