Why to watch
Missouri QB Brad Smith is one of the most exciting players to watch in college football. He is an accurate passer who has the mobility to break the long run when no one is open downfield. The sophomore ranked eighth on the Tigers' all-time total offense list after just one season and could become the first player in NCAA football history to record two seasons with 1,000 yards rushing and 2,000 yards passing. This will be Missouri's first bowl appearance since 19998 when the Tigers beat West Virginia 34-31 in the Insight Bowl. It will also be Missouri's first bowl appearance under third-year head coach Gary Pinkel, who recently signed an extension.
