University of Minnesota co-offensive coordinator Mitch Browning has been named one of five finalists for the Broyles Award given to the top assistant football coach at the Division I level in the nation. Browning has been the co-offensive coordinator since the 2000 season, a coach with the Gophers since 1997 and part of head coach Glen Mason's staff for the last 18 seasons. Browning's mission in this game: Get QB Asad Abdul-Khaliq, who is one of the most dangerous running quarterbacks in the nation, to play a complete game.
