Los Angeles Kings: The Kings have played well despite an unfortunate rash of injuries. But despite their ability to compete with numerous different lineups, Los Angeles players are happy that forward Martin Straka will be joining them in a trade with Pittsburgh.

Detroit Red Wings: As the healthiest and most reliable goalie on the Red Wings, Manny Legace is enjoying life as the No. 1 man in Detroit. Legace has three consecutive victories and five starts in seven games while Dominik Hasek recovers from a groin injury and Curtis Joseph sits in reserve.

Ottawa Senators: Everything Senators coach Jacques Martin does lately has been criticized and analyzed, but he will have at least one admirer at the Corel Centre on Monday night when Ottawa plays Philadelphia. Flyers head coach Ken Hitchcock, who was a co-assistant coach with Martin on Canada's gold medal-winning team at the 2002 Winter Olympics, called Martin one of the most organized coaches he has ever seen.
