Atlanta Thrashers: Thrashers forward Dany Heatley has many physical, emotional and legal obstacles to overcome first, but the team believes he might play by season's end. "We believe with the way his rehabilitation is going, he'll definitely play in some games this year," Atlanta GM Don Waddell told the Ottawa Sun.

Ottawa Senators: Although Ottawa GM John Muckler said he hasn't seen any offers tempting enough to make a trade, he said he has been getting a lot of calls from fellow NHL GMs. "The more we lose, the more popular I get with other GMs," Muckler told The Ottawa Citizen.

St. Louis Blues: Why has fighting increased this season after years of being in decline? An influx of young, eager tough guys, says St. Louis enforcer Reed Low. "They're hungry," Low told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
