Edmonton Oilers: Adam Oates probably won't make his Oilers debut Tuesday night at Columbus, but Edmonton head coach Craig MacTavish said the newly signed center should be ready to play in one of the team's next four games.

Los Angeles Kings: Los Angeles' injury bug finally bit star forward Ziggy Palffy, who is doubtful for Tuesday night's game against New Jersey. The Kings' leading scorer was hit with a puck Saturday against Colorado and has two broken teeth and soft-tissue damage on the right side of his face.

Pittsburgh Penguins: Goalless in 11 games and with 10 points and a minus-13 so far this season, Martin Straka hasn't even been getting many scoring chances lately. So the Penguins forward plans to charge the net more to snap out of his slump.
