Calgary Flames: Calgary's Jamie McLennan is riding high at or among the league leaders in goaltending statistics, but he doesn't want to even look at the numbers. "It's just because I know how quickly they can change," McLennan told the Calgary Sun.

Vancouver Canucks: Vancouver was one of the best teams in the league while going 7-2-2 in October. But the Canucks' first game in November, on Monday night at home against Detroit, will show whether they deserve to be considered one of the league's elite clubs.

Colorado Avalanche: Colorado center Peter Forsberg said his sore groin should be fine, but he still doesn't know when he will be back in action. The Avalanche superstar has missed the past two games and was to undergo more tests Monday morning.
