New York Jets: An MRI Tuesday confirmed that DE John Abraham has a strained right groin, which will keep him out of Sunday's game against the Giants. The good news is that the injury isn't as severe as some people initially thought. Following Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles coach Herman Edwards suggested that Abraham could be out for a while, but now Abraham will be evaluated on a week-to-week basis and he could possibly play Nov. 9 when the Jets travel to Oakland.
