Shipp could supplant Smith as starter
If Marcel Shipp comes in and injects new life into the Cards offense, Emmit Smith might find himself on the bench.
Coach Dave McGinnis says yes, but that's an easy thing to say now. The Cardinals brought Smith in to give them some veteran leadership, and while he as succeeded in accomplishing that, he has yet to give the team any production on the field.
Smith has been a virtual non-entity in three of team's losses this year, and the Cards will have trouble winning another game if they continue to get nothing from the running game.
