According to a report by Doug Padilla in the Chicago Sun-Times, the White Sox have made him an offer that would render him the best-paid pitcher in team history: three years at an average of $10 to $11 million per season. The White Sox would also like to keep Carl Everett in the fold but not at the $9 million-plus he earned last year.
