Torres, Laraque ready for battle

Training camps have given way to exhibition games and rosters have been
trimmed. Now the competition for roster spots is really heating up around the
NHL. Here's a look at some notable preseason news around the league:
Anaheim Mighty Ducks -- Ryan Getzlaf, the Mighty Ducks' 2003 first-round draft pick, has so far survived his long odds of making Anaheim's roster.
Not being among the 17 players cut Monday figures to be be a little more difficult for Getzlaf, 18.
