Boston Red Sox: There's a batting title on the line
and a Wildcard slot to be won, so Bill Mueller will
not be resting in spite of a back spasms that forced
him out of last night's victory over the Devil Rays.
Jeff Horrigan of the Boston Herald reports that
Mueller insists his name will be on the lineup card
tonight at Jacobs Field -- provided the periphery of
Hurricane Isabel doesn't wash out the contest. Johnny
Damon, injured himself, is actually hoping just such a
thing occurs. ``I'm praying for rain (today) so I can
get back in there without missing any more games,''
Damon told Horrigan.
