Minnesota Wild: Marian Gaborik's agent said there has been no progress in contract talks with
the Wild and said he'd told his client a long time ago to be prepared for the
possibility of missing half or perhaps the entire season.
Toronto Maple Leafs: Back, schmack. A day after Owen Nolan told a radio interviewer that he has a
bulging disk that will never heal unless he has surgery, the Maple Leafs
forward backpedaled in front of reporters. Nolan said Wednesday that he merely
has stiffness "like everybody else."
