Chicago Bears: QB Chris Chandler replaced QB Kordell Stewart at the end of Sunday night's
game in Minnesota because Stewart suffered a stinger after falling on his
neck on the Bears' final drive. But Stewart is showing no ill effects from
the injury and he'll be ready to go this week. And while no one in Chicago
is doing cartwheels over the team's performance Sunday, Stewart himself is
getting good reviews from his coaches. "I thought [Stewart] was real
decisive in the pocket, comfortable in the pocket," offensive coordinator
John Shoop told the Chicago Tribune. "When we looked at the pictures on the
sidelines, the information he was given was good information. He's going to
keep getting better and better, but he'll be the first one to say none of us
are at the level we want to be right now." Stewart completed 13 of 21
passes for 137 yards and had a quarterback rating of 96.7 and didn't turn
the ball over.
