Los Angeles Kings: Los Angeles Kings camp is already starting off far different than the team's injury-plagued 2002-03 season. Kings doctors proclaimed Jason Allison and Adam Deadmarsh fit to practice.
Washington Capitals: After a summer full of trade rumors, Jaromir Jagr met with North American media for the first time. Jagr said he's happy with the Washington Capitals, acknowledged that a trade was close and that if something happens he'll "pack my stuff and go."
Florida Panthers: The Panthers have a distinct international flavor already, but Max Birbraer would be a first if he makes Florida's roster. Birbraer, who was born in Kazakhstan, hopes to be the first Israeli in the NHL.
