Offseason strategy could tie team's hands
Washington signed some solid players, but surrendering so many draft picks to do it might hurt down the road.

A lot has been written about owner Dan Snyder's third try at making over the Washington Redskins in his five short seasons as the team's owner. Each run-through has been a little different, and the most recent strategy certainly raised some eyebrows. If success were measured by the number of offseason transactions, the 2003 Redskins would be well on their way to running away things in the NFC this year.
