Boone, Suzuki must lead the way

So much of the Mariners' fate rests on the shoulders of Bret Boone and Ichiro Suzuki.

It is always thus: teams look to their best players to get them through and, if success does not ensue, those stars are blamed regardless of how well they may have performed. For the Seattle Mariners this year, the keys to their offense have been Ichiro Suzuki and Bret Boone, not necessarily in that order. John Hickey of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer writes that it is these two players who must carry the team the rest of the way.
