Army is planning on improved experience to succeed in its last C-USA campaign. Three new head coaches are entering their first C-USA campaigns: John Thompson at East Carolina, Art Briles at Houston and Bobby Petrino at Louisville. TCU is looking for the return of a difference maker at quarterback to go with a terrific defense. And that's just a start. There will be no shortage of storylines in the C-USA this season. Army
The Black Knights are entering their final season of C-USA competition, but they won't enter it just yet. They're the only conference team not in action this week. "It's difficult to watch everybody else play, but because of our military training that runs deep into the summer, it would be very difficult to get ready to play this week," Berry said.
The high point of camp for Berry so far has been the play of sophomore running back Carlton Jones, who led the team with 611 yards rushing last season. He was the first freshman to lead Army in rushing since Mike Mayweather in 1987.
