Boise State waits one more week to kick it off while Fresno State jumps right in with a brutal opening schedule. And new coaches trying to install new attitudes highlight the WAC notes.
Boise State
The defending league champs don't open until Sept. 6 against Idaho State,
and will enter the season with an 11-game win streak, second best to
defending national champion Ohio State at 14. While this means they may have the longest winning streak in the nation if the Bucks stumble against Washington in their opener, the Broncos may be reluctant viewers.
"When all the games get closer to kicking off around the nation, our kids might regret having the week off,'' said Boise State coach Dan Hawkins. "But the good news is, we
lost nobody for the season to injury (during fall camp) and expect everybody
to be ready to go in the opener.''
