It was only a light skate for 45 minutes, but it indicated how much Pittsburgh's
Mario Lemieux wants to play as many games as possible this season.
After a summer working on an off-ice training program designed to strengthen his
legs, Lemieux was back on the ice Monday for the first time since the Penguins'
final home game in April.
"I'm way ahead of last year, so it's really encouraging," Lemieux, the Penguins
owner and captain, told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
