Anaheim Angels: It's a quirky record, but it illustrates the nature of the business of baseball. Sometime in 2004, Troy Percival is going to set the record for the most saves recorded by a player who recorded all his saves with one team. Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports that the current record is held by Jeff Montgomery of Kansas City with 304.

Cleveland Indians: Brian Anderson may well be having the best year of his decade-long career and it has caught the attention of several contending teams. Paul Hoynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer writes that the Indians are listening to offers for Anderson but will only deal him if it makes sense for the team. Anderson is on a one-year contract and will probably not be back in Cleveland next year, suggests Hoynes.
