LAST SEASON: 11-2 (6-2 Big 12)

It took three years, but tuck-and-go QB Ell Roberson finally looked up long enough to notice those other guys in the purple uniforms. And once he did, he and the rest of the Wildcats were damn near unstoppable. Last season, Roberson improved his passing accuracy (39.7% to 52%) and decreased his interceptions (from nine to four) as he spearheaded the nation's second-best scoring offense (44.8 ppg). "I tried to do too much," he says of his early days. "Now, if it's open, it's open. If not, I know I can make a good decision."
