Their looks are indistinguishable. Cheryl Ford's broad shoulders, her round face and especially those cheekbones are all unquestionably her father's.
Their early years are almost identical. Both thrived in rural Summerfield, La., where they'd hike to a nearby pond with the hope of reeling in a bass big enough to crack that night's dinner table.
Their career paths are interchangeable. She was a scoring machine at Summerfield High, just like her father. She starred at nearby Louisiana Tech, just like her father. And when the WNBA's Detroit Shock made her their first-round pick last spring, she became a professional basketball player. Just like her father.
