Tampa Bay Buccaneers: K Martin Gramatica is still resting his sore groin and will miss his second
consecutive preseason game when the Bucs play the Rams on Monday night. He's
improving,'' coach Jon Gruden told the Tampa Tribune. "He's a guy we miss.
He's a weapon. He's a guy that's outstanding at what he does. We feel he's
going to return bigger and stronger and better than ever.'' The Bucs have
targeted Wednesday as his return date.
Jacksonville Jaguars: DE Tony Brackens continues to work with trainer Mike Ryan on the side at
practices in an attempt to return from microfracture surgery on his knee.
Brackens, who is on the physically unable to perform list, is not
officially practicing with the team but according to the Orlando Sentinel he
is doing wind sprints while wearing his gear to aid in his conditioning.
Washington Redskins: With the release of DT Dan Wilkinson the club is concerned with the depth at
the position. That is why they, along with several other teams, are
interested in acquiring DT Lional Dalton in a trade with the Denver Broncos.
According to the Washington Post the Broncos are asking for a mid- to
late-round draft pick. Dalton, 28, was a starter for the Broncos last
season after being a reserve for most of his four seasons with the Baltimore
Ravens, but he is available because of the emergence of DT Monsanto Pope.
