With emerging superstar Michael Vick at quarterback, the sky is the limit for the Falcons. With a team that won a playoff game, you might expect that you'd find an experienced roster looking to take that next step. But there are plenty of position battles taking place in training camp.

Peerless Price was acquired in a trade and becomes the clear No. 1 wide receiver, but there are four guys who think they have a shot at the other starting job. Retired fullback Bob Christian must be replaced and nosetackle Ellis Johnson had to be talked out of retirement.

Wade Phillips took over as defensive coordinator and installed the 3-4 defense with promising results. The youngsters drafted to fit that scheme are now ready to challenge for starting roles against the experienced but limited veterans who played last year.
