  • The Redskins' coaching staff has been amazed at the work ethic of new WR Laveranues Coles, who has had a spectacular camp thus far. They say Coles' effort has raised the bar for the rest of the receivers and has had a particularly noticeable effect on Rod Gardner, whose game Coles is trying to raise each practice.

  • The Chargers aren't as worried about David Boston's oblique muscle and hip ailments as much as they are about Marcellus Wiley's groin trouble.
