Talent pool deep in Illinois

CHICAGO -- It's a very good year for talent in Illinois. This is especially true on the offensive side of the ball where the Land of Lincoln is loaded at quarterback, running back and wide receiver. The nation's top offensive tackle prospect also calls Illinois home. This does not mean the defensive players should be overlooked as the state has big-time talent at defensive back, linebacker and on the defensive line. Sean Lewis (6-7, 225) from Oak Lawn Richards is the top quarterback in Illinois. He's big, has a great arm and can really run. Northwestern and Tennessee have offered and he's waiting for an offer from Michigan. Penn State and Notre Dame are also interested. Marcus Randle-El (5-11, 172) from Harvey Thorton is a very good athlete looking for a shot at remaining at the QB position. Randle-El, like his brother who Antwan played quarterback at Indiana, has great ball-handling skills and excels at returning kicks. Indiana, Iowa and Illinois have all offered him shots at QB.
