Several spots on defense still undecided

The Saints had an explosive offense last year and the main stories out of camp will concern the condition of Aaron Brooks' surgically repaired shoulder.

But much more important to their on-field improvement is the total overhaul on the middle of the team's defense. They traded with the Patriots for safety Tebucky Jones, moved up in the draft to the sixth overall pick to land defensive tackle Johnathan Sullivan, and got rid of tackle Norman Hand, linebacker Charlie Clemons and safety Sammy Knight. Except at safety, there's still plenty of jockeying going on in camp to claim the open spots.
