QB controversy on the horizon?

The Dolphins have been the most consistently good franchise in the NFL over the past 20 seasons, including last year. However, they were probably the most talented team in recent memory to not make the playoffs thanks to a mid-season losing streak when Ray Lucas took over for an injured Jay Fiedler at quarterback. The signing of Brian Griese brings a quality veteran to the backup role, and although a lot of 'Fins fans would like to see Fiedler replaced by Griese, Fiedler is firmly entrenched as the starter. Coach Dave Wannstedt is feeling a lot of pressure to make a try for the Super Bowl this year, and the team brought in the kind of veteran free agents the Ravens and Raiders used to great success in recent years. Linebacker Junior Seau, safety Sammy Knight and defensive tackle Jeff Zgonina elevate an already exceptional defense.
