American League
Chicago White Sox: It is ironic to note that in a town where the Cubs have institutionalized premium prices on tickets, five people were arrested for scalping prior to Tuesday night's All-Star Game. Carolina Bolado of the Chicago Tribune has the story.

New York Yankees: George King of the New York Post is reporting that the Yankees have given up on the notion of bringing Juan Gonzalez in from Texas. His reluctance to leave combined with the exorbitant amount of money he would cost them were both factors. Another contributing factor is that Nick Johnson is beginning his rehab assignment tomorrow night in Columbus. He is expected back after playing five to seven minor league games.
