Don't tell Detroit general manager Ken Holland this is the offseason.

The next few days and weeks promise to be hectic for the Red Wings front office as Holland and his staff try to re-sign key veteran free agents, possibly add other free agents from outside the organization, bring goaltender Dominik Hasek back from retirement and trade goalie Curtis Joseph.

After midnight Monday, centers Sergei Fedorov, Steve Yzerman and Igor Larionov, winger Darren McCarty and defenseman Jason Woolley will become unrestricted free agents. Only Yzerman is a sure thing to return, although his contract won't easily be worked out because of his questionable knee.
