American League
Chicago White Sox: Bartolo Colon has been pitching long and hard all season and it is beginning to show. Because he is experiencing muscle fatigue, the White Sox are going to begin counting the pitches of the man who leads the league in complete games, writes Teddy Greenstein of the Chicago Tribune.

New York Yankees: Brandon Claussen is the Yankees top pitching prospect but had his career sidetracked by Tommy John surgery. On Saturday, he will get to show just how far along his recovery is when he will be asked to start the second game of the two-stadium doubleheader against the Mets at Shea. Tyler Kepner of the New York Times also reports that Bernie Williams is beginning to take swings and could be back from his knee surgery before the All-Star break. Nick Johnson, out with a stress fracture in his hand, might be back soon thereafter.
