Butler looking to kick-start career

As Michael Jordan has shown us on more than one occasion, retirement is
anything but a permanent condition. Such is the case with former Chicago
Bears kicker Kevin Butler, who recently announced that five years away from
the league was enough, and that he's ready to make a comeback.
Most players don't attempt to return to professional sports after the age of
40 (George Foreman being the obvious exception), but football kickers are a
unique breed. They have the luxury of not having the same practice
requirements as other players, and aren't asked to rely on speed, which
diminishes with the passing of time.
With that in mind, Butler, who will turn 41 on July 24, has signed with a
Chicago-based agent and is searching for a team to give him the chance to
show that he's still got it.
