But not if New Jersey GM Rod Thorn has anything to say about it. "We've got a good team. Obviously Jason is the catalyst and he makes it go. Hopefully he'll want to stay here and everything will work out," Thorn said.

Portland Trail Blazers: The Houston Chronicle is reporting that Houston Texans VP Steve Patterson will become the next GM of the Blazers. Patterson began his career in Houston with the Rockets, where he served as GM from 1989 to 1993 after learning the business under his father Ray, who was GM from 1972 to 1989. Patterson worked in the International Hockey League and NFL.
