Smith looking for the proper tutoring

Despite winning only three starts in 17 tries and having a career passer rating of 52.8, when Akili Smith was released by the Cincinnati Bengals there were teams that picked up the phone to let the former Oregon Duck that he was still wanted somewhere.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports four teams have contacted Smith's agent, Kennard McGuire to express interest in bringing in the fifth-year quarterback for a tryout.

The quartet of teams with an eye on Smith include the Dolphins, Saints, Packers and Seahawks. The Dolphins are looking at Brian Griese, and the Saints just traded for backup Todd Bouman prior to the draft. But those aren't the reasons that Smith's camp is favoring Green Bay and Seattle.
