When Brian Griese was released by the Denver Broncos, it was a foregone conclusion that he would wind up in Miami. But some thought there might be a small chance that given the Dallas Cowboys lack of a quality starter they might make a last minute run at the former pro bowler.

However, Bill Parcells squashed any further talk of Griese landing in Big D, saying that he wanted nothing to do with the former Bronco.

"I'm not going to be involved with Brian Griese," Parcells told the Dallas Morning News. "Right now, we'll go into training camp with what we have. I'm not interested in being 8-8, so I'm not interested in a quarterback who can get me to 8-8. If there's a guy I think can get me to a division championship, I'd be interested. But right now I haven't seen that guy."
