Despite leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the NFC Championship game in 1999, Shaun King gets no respect. First, he was replaced in favor of Brad Johnson. Then, even though Jon Gruden praised King after being named the new head coach last offseason, he nevertheless brought in Rob Johnson to take King's job. This offseason has been no different. King was re-signed only after Gruden secured the services of Jim Miller and Shane Matthews. Then, just a few weeks after King signed, the Bucs drafted Chris Simms. Matthews has since been released, and with Johnson and Simms guaranteed roster spots, the battle is on between King and Miller.
