Hossa steps up to 'toughest challenge'

Marian Hossa still hasn't scored a goal in the Eastern Conference finals, but his performance in Ottawa's 2-1 overtime Game 6 victory over New Jersey showed he's turning up his game just in time for the Senators.
For the first time in the series, Hossa looked like the dominant force that scored 45 goals and led the Senators with 80 points during the regular season.
Hossa had seven shots on net and two assists, including a dash to set up Chris Phillips' game-winning goal. Hossa had just one assist in the series up until Game 6 and had just one shot in each of the previous two games. It took him six games, but the 24-year-old Slovak eventually discovered how to effectively respond to New Jersey's physical play.
