The Torry Holt holdout is over before it even had a chance to begin. Although Holt's agent, Greg Williams, had stated his client would not report to the Rams three-day minicamp that begins today unless he received a contract extension, Holt personally called coach Mike Martz to tell him that he will be in attendance despite the absence of a new deal.

"He really felt like the right thing to do was to be here," Martz told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "And I feel like he's felt that way all along. I can't imagine Torry not wanting to be here. I mean, that's just not Torry."

Holt showed up for Thursday evening's team meeting at Rams Park, and in part is so agreeable because a contract extension appears imminent. Williams, is scheduled to meet with Rams president of football operations Jay Zygmunt today at Rams Park, a sign that the two sides are on the verge of getting something done.
