could be the owner of the Angels by the time the sun
goes down tonight, provided the rest of baseball's
owner approve the sale? Kimi Yoshino profiles him in
today's Los Angeles Times and finds him to be very
private and -- more interestingly -- unassuming for a
man of his vast wealth.
Cleveland Indians: Does this sound like fun? John
Campanelli of the Cleveland Plain Dealer tells the
tale of a group of friends who, once a year, would
meet for a weekend of debauchery centered around the
Indians. After 25 years they are deciding to retire
the ritual. Who will be there to pick up the torch?
