Celtics turn gun-shy in crunch time

The Boston Celtics lost last night because they forgot they were the same Boston Celtics who shot the third worst field goal percentage in the league, ahead of only Miami and Denver, but wouldn't think twice about becoming the second-worst if it meant one more off-balanced heave from beyond the three-point line at the buzzer of a meaningless game. "I don't want to think about what happened in overtime,'' Paul Pierce said in the Boston Herald about last night's loss to the Indiana Pacers, 93-88, in which the Celtics failed to score a single point after regulation. ``I just want to go on to Game 6. They played good, tough defense, and the refs were not making calls in overtime. I felt like I got killed at times going to the basket, but they weren't going to call it.''
